I don't see the enumerated list, but no worries, it's not important.

This is interesting, but without much context. For example, according to the same site, Pres. Obama has kept 45 percent of his promises, compromised on 24 percent, and has eight percent in the works.

Which might actually be a pretty good score when it comes down to it.

The GOP measure notes a rate of 38 percent for promises kept, 30 percent for compromises and 32 percent broken.

So, Obama has broken 22 percent of his promises and the GOP have broken 32 percent.

Is this your response to his 'State of the Union' address?

Did you watch it? Not a huge fan of the guy, but it was pretty ****** good.

    ...just saying:eek:

AND I have to throw Ernst under the bus. She completely folded and had absolutely no response to Obama's speech and started droning on about the Keystone project. Really? REALLY??

Complaining about politician's broken "promises" probably goes back to the Washington administration. But, in context, few if any of these promises actually qualify as real promises. Most political promises actually are goals, and, some of those goals I'm glad have been defeated. Like the Republicans who promised to destroy Social Security. They couldn't deliver, and, I'm glad. I really don't care, however, that they "broke their promises" to destroy SS.

The better question is are we better off because Obama broke his promises.

Is it a lost opportunity to address serious social issues like income inequality and wealth hoarding which in fact starves the middle class?

I don't know, and I'm not sure if we should celebrate or mourn.

    Promises kept:

1: Armed Mexican cartels with US based firearms
2: Got Americans killed with the aforementioned firearms
    3: Armed Syrian Rebels
4: Drone striked most of the middle east
5: Intervened in several foreign conflicts thus creating amazing terrorist recruitment campaigns
6: Bailed out GM at the taxpayer's expense and let them keep their ****** union
7: Did not pursue a single banker responsible for the financial disaster
    8: Renewed the Patriot Act

    Best Prez Eva!

I see. Well nothing's too good for PRSI so I hand crafted the list from PolitiFact and then used Word's auto numbering to enumerate it.

So when he promises you something, it's a better-than-even chance he's lying to you. That's atrocious.

Be honest. Lying 55% of the time is a serious character flaw.

You measuring lies told by a political party's leadership against one man's extreme dishonesty? That's spinning so fast, I'm surprised centrifugal force hasn't caused you to explode.

Again, that never struck you as odd, that you're comparing one man's dishonesty against the lies told by several?

My what a big list you have there!

Thanks. Saved a copy for later. Really shows how obstructive the GOP and their backers have been.

Gotcha! Yep, and you'd be chortling too if a Republican president was proven to be as dishonest as Obama. How could you support a guy who lies more than half the time? I wouldn't trust a liar like that with a burnt-out match and you guys gave him the keys to the nuclear football!

Hey, if an organization as much in the tank for Democrats as PolitiFact is, admits Obama broke his "promises", that's what he did.

Not every president is hated. However, when your whole presidency was based on blaming bush and the republicans, it really doesn't set the stage for a bipartisan effort.

Even when the fools had a super majority, they managed to pass like 3 things; one of which was the disastrous healthcare bill.
