Plus, if that wasn't bad enough...

This is an exclusive! What a scandal. I wonder if the communist, socialist, mainstream, corporate media will pick up on this.

Fox "news" is one of the reasons that I weep for America.

While I strongly support the strategy of giving them no attention at all, he does seem to be picking up on some particularly egregious examples of yellow journalism. First we learn that an increase in deportations is some kind of sinister trick to hide lack of immigration enforcement, and then we get the shocking exposé that community organizers are participating in organizing the community, relying entirely on tone of delivery to imply impropriety.

I would be entirely unsurprised to see a "special report" blowing the lid off the nationwide scandal of how teachers' unions have infiltrated our public schools, which we can only assume has been orchestrated to indoctrinate our children into support of the teachers' union.

Seriously, this is credible satire being presented as actual news.

It's amazing how you guys can read only what you want.

A disbanded community organization group that really only changed its name so it could illegally continue to receive federal tax dollars, fraudulently solicited funds in the name of a teachers union activity from those union members (a closed, private list), and redirected those funds to organize a supposed unorganized protest.

Doesn't any of this get your attention, or does the end always justify the methods?

Well, if you're accusing us of selective reading, then let's trim that article down to its bare essentials:

Come on it is fake news. What do you expect the truth?

My general rule is fake news is not a valid source and get back to me when another source picks it up.

I like the sign you sometimes see at rallies nowadays:

I'd rather get my fake news from the jokers at Comedy Central than the clowns at Fox.

So what's your point? All stories have sources that are rarely named. This was a fairly long article, so it's expected that you would have "sources said" and the like mentioned several times. Another way to pare it down to its bare essentials is to delete the reference to sources and just present the information. But I suppose that you then wouldn't like what it said and therefore wouldn't bother with it. Just curious, if this story were true in all of its details, would it bother you?

It would depend on the degree, and whether this was institutional or, as happened with ACORN, a few jerks acting on their own.

You couldn't delete the "sources said" and just present the information, because without any reference to where the info came from, that would be even yellower journalism than this is. As to articles being sourced, not all are this vague. Usually you'll see "a Pentagon official said..." or some such general identification of a responsible person. To see these kinds of charges being slung around with almost no attribution, on a Fox website, just raises red flags, especially considering the right wing media's history of demonizing ACORN.

ACORN wasn't a "few jerks" acting on their own, it was systemic problem of the entire organization that led to widespread voter registration fraud across the country.

Fox news is hands down the best news station. Most people that don't like them have never watched it.

The news is clearly fair and balanced.

No liking a commentator (not the news, commentary on the news) is different.

Of course most people that hate fox news never watch or read it.

Do you watch MSNBC? My guess is you don't like their news because you like that Fox spins everything to your liking.

    I watch fox. It sucks.

That's not true. If it were, then you would be able to prove it. On top of that, the right's claims of voter fraud are a completely bogus claim. There have been a handful of voter fraud cases in the last decade, yet the right-wing is doing everything it can to take away the constitutionally protected right to vote from minorities and the poor.

Yes I watch Rachel Maddow a couple of times a week. She's one twisted chick.

Fox doesn't spin the news...the commentaries people do. You got news confused with commentary.
