Sorry on advance if this is the wrong area.

I purchased Microsoft Office 2010 Professional for Windows though the Home Use Program about a year go and now converted both my computers to Mac for obvious reasons. The HUP only allows one purchase. Can I just use my Windows product key with Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac?

I already have the installer from my wife's HUP purchase of Office 2011 for Mac. I just need a key to use on the 2nd Mac. I won't be using the Windows version anymore and have no need for it but, don't want to waste the license either. So, I figured this should be allowed.

Other options are:
1. Can I use one key on 2 Macs?
2. If I call Microsoft will they exchange keys for me since I have a legit copy and aren't trying to "steal" it?

What do y'all think?

I believe that the keys are only valid to the OS version they came with. I also highly doubt Microsoft will "exchange" keys for the different OS.

Your best bet it to purchase the Mac version of MS Office legitimately.
