office demos tied together on separate macs?

This is weird. I got a mac mini in july, and never touched the office demo on there. I got a MBP a month ago, and started using the office demo on there, as of today it has 5 days left until it shuts down. Today I opened the office demo on the mac mini, which I fgured would have 30 days left, but instead I got a message saying that I have 5 days left for activation.

Both are networked, are the office demos somehow linked on different computers...

Are you doing any kind of profile syncing? e.g. .Mac syncing of preferences or anything else like it? If so, I could see that being the cause. Otherwise, I don't see how it could happen (though I'm not an expert on these things).
