Fentanyl is crazy powerful stuff, it's almost like a weaponized opioid. Not sure of the medical benefits of it, but it's killing a lot of addicts in Canada. It seems we keep trying to make 'less addictive' opioid derivatives and the result is still addiction and death. :(

I had a script for oxycodone after surgery a few years back... 5 minutes after ingestion it felt like I had been drinking heavily, but with none of the mental inhibitors (save for mild drowsiness). I took two/three during the first week of recovery and then took the bottle back to the pharmacist and told them to get rid of it. It was scary strong... and I hear that fentanyl is worse.
