son is dead, I think that's enough trouble for the moment. things like this happen every day. somewhere in the US a kid fell into the family pool and drown too.

yes it is terrible to want people to be responsible for their guns the horror. much better to just ignore such things not a big deal that a police officer was careless with a gun.
So what is my agenda by the way?

Parents should be charged in cases like this. Regardless of the cause of death: gun, pool, left in car, etc.

A 3yr old dies, regardless of how, is a ****ing tragedy. Your first instinct is to take "bets" on if the father, who is a cop, is going to get in trouble. Skip over the fact a 3yr old just died.

You don't know the particulars. You want this guy strung up already simply because he's a LEO yet you have no idea how this happened. Your assumptions prove your disgusting agenda.

then tell me how a 3 year old got a gun? tell me how everyone did everything right and it still happened tell me that. so if I make a cop responsible bad if you deny it was the parents responsibility to keep guns safe ok. yes my discussing agenda that I want children safe from guns the horror. what agenda should I have? say since kids die in pools it is not a big deal?

Seeing A LEO with a gun must be such an aggravating thing for you: Two things together that you passionately hate. I imagine a Christian White LEO with a gun must be the quadfecta of aggravation!

I think he's strung up by the carelessness with which the gun was accessible by the child. Him being a cop only makes you think he should take gun safety even more seriously.

Still, a tragedy, I can't imagine losing a child that way.

It's a family tragedy no matter what professional or legal consequences may ensue.

You fans of the "2A above all else" might consider why it is that in some circumstances the notorious darwin award is not handed out on the first page of a thread like this, and maybe even consider not making the award at all, in future. But this is not an outcome I'd expect in the PRSI forum.

Kids don't earn Darwin awards. Teens/adults do.
This has NOTHING do to with the 2nd . Guns are part of this mans job and it seems he failed to properly secure his work gear .

    According to Comey, yes.

Look, this is an unimaginable tragedy for the family. That said, it was through their negligence that the kid was able to get ahold of the gun and accident kill himself. They should be charged accordingly.
