I love the strong moral values crap they they don't even follow the bible they are holding up to prove their moral values. the bible says nothing about abortion or gay rights but it does say love thy neighbor and not to judge. like only christians have morals.

Thou shall not kill. Would be the one thing I could see as the justification for opposing abortion. Never understood why they appear to hate gays that much

You get a trial for the death penalty. A judge hands down that sentence. Not so with abortion

    From link
He had a good point with the military members . Rules of engagement under Obama have been bad for the military

Either way if you are going to use the thou shall not kill to justify banning abortion, why not death penalty? Can't be selective in using that part of the bible.

    ----------

He may have been referring to ending DADT than the ROE's.....

but even according to the bible most abortions are not killing
they hate gays because they have better sex lives and feel threatened. they think people turn gay by choice so we are going to to be overrun with the gays.

Christians are pretty selective, that's why there are tons if different factions all with their version of what the bible means to them

DADT is NOT creating the casualties , the ROE need to be revised , too many brothers & sisters in arms are coming home in caskets since that feel good stupidity was implemented, better yet bring everyone home

Sadly people DO believe that! I was shocked when a few people I know claimed that "gays are trying to convert people". How...freaking...stupid....

Life begins at conception for many. Kill a pregnant woman & you get 2 counts of murder, not one.
Not ALL Christians hate gays , there are a few denominations that have no problems with gays, that is worth mentioning

    ----------

It IS.a "choice" for some, we call those Bi :p. Notable examples are Ted Havgard & Larry Craig :p

Right, but if one faction is going to use that line to justify banning abortions, but is totally for the death penalty, it's hypocritical.

Didn't say DADT created casualties. But I take it by North's radical social experiment comment that he was referring to Obama ending DADT.

Nobody deals in black & white. Christians are not different there. Many support a woman's right to end a pregnancy, but they oppose peoples right to get a gun, go figure:confused:

    What an absolute smegging idiot.

He needs to be reminded of which President emancipated the slaves and which party he was affiliated with.

He needs to be reminded of which party supported the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.

He needs to be reminded of both of these and then some, and have them beat upside his head until he knows his history. It is idiots like him and his views that are keeping this country so bloody polarized that batteries can look at our politics and get recharged.

As backwards as Mr Oliver is, at least his argument is consistent. Contrast this with what a certain Republican Representative from Iowa recently said:

Since when is religion an immutable trait?

yes but the abortion thing is made up. everyone cherry picks but trying to make laws on cherry picking and things that are only your faith not even based on the bible is a whole other thing. No laws should be made because someones faith says so. Just like the GOP reps who won't make any laws that are not biblically based. who's version of the bible?
