now that is nice evolution of the design......
I agree it looks nice and something plausible that Apple would do
Larger screens are always nice. Apple should take notes on this.
How is it any different?
And in saying that, I am saying, "I applaud you, good sir!"
The new iPhone CAN'T have a larger screen.
I think it looks sleek. I wouldn't mind more screen and less bezel.
Now, I like that. Its not a major change to the front, but its something.
Yes, it can
Maybe the screen is the same size, but the phone is smaller
app store and 3.0 beta
(talking about resolution, having a bigger screen that probably isn't even produced with the same resolution would be simply stupid imo)
No. It CANNOT. I see no reason that this screen would be seen as larger on this mockup at all.
It does not look larger at all, anyway.
maybe the screen is the same size and they just hrunk the rest of the phone down to make the screen relatively larger lol
1. this concept has already been posted, even though it does look nice the "old" 3g is probably closer to the real thing.
2. the concept doesn't necessarily have a different screen/bezel, since the screen is off you can't really tell what's going on, can you?
3. ain't happening
4. if you drool over bigger screens Apple ain't for you, check out the new Samsung 3.7ish in. AM OLED HD capacitive screen and Toshiba TG01 4.1" and the hand model better be a man
5. there's a lot of studying ergonomics and such behind Apple's design choices, it really is perfect, no need to change that.
That strategy could work, but I don't see Apple cutting corners like that.
I don't think it would be considered cutting corners, but rather making the phone smaller.
Wouldn't say no. Looks like a mashup between iPhone EDGE and iPhone 3G. Nice concept. Going to be interesting to see what is unleashed at WWDC.
Here it is at a different angle, looks bigger to me.
No, I didn't even think about that pun until you mentioned it
Anyways, the only way I want Apple making the iDevice smaller is thickness, not size of the screen. And besides, it's thin enough and large enough as is.
Looks exactly like 1st gen, which I seriously doubt Apple would do.
but 1st and 2nd gens have near identical screens dont they..Is the real differences the backs and slight modified headphone port (iin the 3g)
Notice the shape of it? It's equal thickness throughout just like 1st gen, not tapered at the ends like 2nd gen.
Here's a pic of the back, i like how the bezel wraps around the side buttons i guess to prevent all the cracks the 3g's have at the silent switch. But i heard the new iPhone wont have the chrome bezel on it.
No! Leave the bezel alone. Please.
That pic of the back makes it look more sporty than sleek like current gen.
