right, i had something stuck in my trash that wouldnt delete so i did a search on here to find a way of force emptying the trash - which in the end worked.

however, now whenever i drop anything into the trash it just deletes it straight away (well it does sometimes say ... is going to be deleted y/n)

so please tell me there is a way to get the trash working like normal - i.e. i can drop it in there till i want to empty it? and if so... how!

restart, repair permissions, create a couple of temp files then give it a shot, see if it still does it.

well i did as you said and it now appears to be back to normal. upon restarting all the files that i thought had just dissapeared before had reappeared - which was odd!

thanks!

Yes, being married completely saves me from never having a chance with her. :)
