No that's all wrong too. As a gay man I can say with complete and total conviction that it's more like this

    "Thatsssssss...ssss so totally uber frickin'...

    ...Sweetie!!!

But seriously, this is great. Kudos to the members of the panel who decided to let the sailor stay in the navy even though they didn't have to just yet.

That fact that he's "allowed" to keep his job just because he's gay.

Sometimes, civilization is a sad, pathetic excuse of itself.

    Don't be such a tw*t.

You must admit your original reply was a tad ambiguous. ;)

Agreed, yet the grounds for trying to dismiss him were that he was gay. Seeing as that is not the issue anymore, good for him.

Are any of you in the military service that have made comments here?

I'm curious to see how many of you, that are responding to this, will be personally effected by this policy? Or if you are simply imposing your views onto military members with impunity? Just curious.

Wow guys... The general attitude here towards gay culture and those awful stereotypical pictures are all in very bad taste... Shame on those who think like that.

    Grow up

Hmmm funny, as a gay man, I found the entire lot absolutely hilarious. (And judging by their other posts at least half of the people posting here either are gay/ support gay rights completely)

It's good that you as an individual find it funny and I'm sure a lot of people do... but do you speak for everyone?

Think of it this way... If this was a race related picture of a person carrying out a typical racial stereotype motion would it be so funny?

Perhaps the Sailors colleagues have the right to repeatedly stick similar pictures to his locker or give him a nice gay nick name?.. Is that ok? Would that be funny?

Perhaps you don't speak for the majority either, so should stop telling people to grow up. Laughing at ourselves (since I know at least 1 other, if not more here are actually gay) is one of the ways of coping with the bigoted crap nearly every right-winger seems to spout.
