OpenVPN of Mac OS X, using a 3rd party app.

Hi there,
I have been using a PPTP VPN for a while, but I now want to get a new VPN service and use it through OpenVPN. How do I do that?
I am thinking of using Viscosity as my GUI for this, which is an app similar to Tunnelblick ( I think, do they do the same thing?). Anyways, I was wondering if I have to install anything beyond Viscosity on my mac (on leopard 10.5.5). I've read around and I've heard alot about editing config files and such and I don't know what to do. Will installing Viscosity be enough for OpenVPN to work?
