Well I drank the Kool Aid. Looking forward to the upgrade as the '18 was marginal to say the least. Got $520 for the old one. Works for me.

Hopefully with the M1 combined with Big Sur and the keyboard upgrade it will be a much better experience.

Looks like the iOSifacation of OS X has arrived after many years of speculation.

They're not taking 2020's, that's what I've got. Not sure I'll get enough when they do.

Just ordered and M1 Air since there does not seem to be a huge difference between the Air and the Pro. Very curious to see how the Cooling on the M1 Air is going to be

Ordered the Air myself, to replace my year old 13" MBP 1.4.

The trade in offered for the MBP was just ridiculously low, so I'm keeping it (either to sell privately or - more likely - sell it _almost_ as cheaply to some family member in need of a near-new Mac).

Just ordered the 512GB M1 Air and can’t wait to get it! Fan-less! Yay! Bought my wife and I both, 2020 Airs, Returned mine for the 13” MBP and then, missed the Air every time I used my wife’s Air. The thinner front case wins as the little pro always dug into my hands. I like my 12.9” Ipad Pro but really wanted the silent Air more & I am using more spreadsheets lately and my IPP iOS Excel really bugs me. (Side note: had the 16” MBP and was crazy for it but again, I wound up grabbing the Air or IPP when heading out the door (without even thinking, or missing the MBP) Sometimes, less is more.

What is unified ram vs regular ram. Listing differently between mba and mbp. Wonder if can think of ram usage with m1 like intel.

You're living on the edge. :) I will probably wait until there are at least a few reviews. I do like, in order of importance, the better battery life (my 2019 gets about 5-6 hours with normal use), the significant performance improvement, and the fanless design. If the reviews are mostly positive, which I expect them to be, I will likely trade in my 2019.

Pro is out of the question for me because of the touch bar, doesn't matter what it offers.

What model was your '18? I have an '18 i3 and am getting $480 on Apple.com

Curious why they are not accepting 2020's? If I got the right amount, I would trade in my 2020, as I can't handle the fan noise which comes on more than it probably should.

I thought the 2018 is a dual core i5. i3 didn't come into the picture until the Spring refresh, right?
Correct. i3 was first available only in 2020.

You probably have more storage. That’s the only thing that matters with the trade in program. They do not ask about processor or RAM.

I got $590 for my '18 MBA i5 with 16/512. My M1 MBA with 16/256 has a 1/24-11/27 delivery estimate. Hope it comes earlier!
