    Hi,

my google search didnt turn up anything so I figured I'd ask here:
is there a way (via jailbreak) to get the 1st gen AppleTV menu style, with my movies, tv shows etc. not hidden unter Computers... but right at the top?
That's really the only thing that keeps me from getting a new one.

    Thank you very much

    I Wish!!

Not as far as I know and though I've adapted to the newer ATV2 menu system, my pet hate is the fact that Tv Seasons are all listed separately and not grouped under the TV Shows name.

Perhaps a jailbreak exists, but as the ATV1 system is based on Tiger and the ATV on iOS, I don't believe so.

Hey....I just typed 6 lines of type to say no. What a winner!!!!!!:D

It's a pretty minor complaint, really. I wouldn't let such a trivial issue keep you from getting an aTV2.

If you leave My Computer selected when the aTV goes to sleep, TV and Movies will be the top menu when you come back to it.

Actually it's not if you got an ATV 1st gen and are from abroad (no netflix...), because the only thing you're really gaining is less power usage and AirPlay.

But, really, shouldn't you make the decision to switch based on wether you want the new features, not whether you have to hit a button once more?

Also, if you aren't using Netflix, you can simply leave your computer selected, so that your Movies and TV Shows are on the screen as soon as you wake up the aTV.
