My connection is really fast as far as browsing and P2P downloading is concerned, but normal downloads through Safari, Chrome or any other browser is incredibly slow! 9 Kb/s, compared to the 150 Kb/s I get from browsing and P2P.

My iTunes downloads, even on my iPod touch is also just as slow.

And regardless of which website I download from, it's always the same extra-slow downloading speed. When I switch to Windows, it's capable of downloading much faster.

However, when I run Windows through VMWare Fusion, downloading speed is also slow, so it's obvious it's a problem with how OS X handles the main connection.

Graphic-heavy websites load very quickly, but YouTube clips don't.

I tried two different Macs, and I tried using Ethernet. The problem did not exist with the older connection. The new connection is a WiMax WLAN broadband connection, opposed to the previous DSL connection.

I was told it may be an MDU/MTU problem, but I don't know what that even means.
