Well that just came back to bite him in the butt

Former Miss Universe Becomes U.S. Citizen in Time to Cast Vote Against Trump

Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado became a U.S. citizen on Friday, just in time to cast her vote against the man who she says taunted her about her weight and accent when she was 19 years old: former pageant owner and current GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The Venezuelan-born pageant winner, who took the oath of allegiance in Miami, shared the big news on Instagram. “[I’m] so proud and inspiration to be a U.S. Citizen! I’ll be voting!” she wrote in the caption, adding that she will be investing all of her power and support in Hillary Clinton.

“Miss Housekeeping and miss Piggy Can Vote,” she added, referencing the cruel names he’s said Trump used to taunt her.

Another reason to ban the electoral college, which is just as outdated as marriage is (according to some)?

The EC does not need to be banned, it needs to award electors proportionally. This would give a voice to righties in places like upstate NY and California and to lefties in places like Texas.

The purpose of the Electoral College is to permit equal representation to rural and urban areas. Without it, the theory goes, a candidate could be elected simply by pandering to the big cities.

I was for it until trump won the GOP nomination, we don't have an educated enough populace to replace the EC.

That doesn't excuse his behavior just because others did it. Fortunately for those anchors, they aren't running for office

But does that excuse Trump? I don't think it does. And while it won't really affect his polling or vote count (except by maybe a few) - She was able to give him a nice fast payback. Karma. On the flip side, I'm sure Trump doesn't care because (now) she's too old. Boring. No career. A loser.

The purpose was to be a check on the people in case there were enough idiots to vote in a dictator like Trump. The founding fathers were smart enough to know that the will of the people can be stupid sometimes and they built in a check, somewhat like the Democrats super delegates, unfortunately that power is mostly gone due to tradition and that no one wants to be the elector that fights the court battle to overturn faithless elector laws.
