I saw the Top 10 List and immediately thought of Bristol. I laughed my ass off.

The slutty flight attendant one was funny too. :D

Go Dave. Although my favorite part...

...The unwed Bristol has since become a high profile advocate for abstinence.

Um....do they have crossed fingers and take backs in motherhood?

    boo-hoo

God, I like Sarah Palin more when she was just a random governor who told Hilary Clinton to not whiny about sexism in the media and prove herself more during the campaign on some video on youtube

    Now she's just annoying!

Right, I never thought it was about anyone besides Bristol. No one would be dumb enough to imply that it's about anyone besides her daughter that got knocked up. Sarah and Bristol are both public figures, and late night TV show hosts joking about public figures is nothing new. If she can't take it, she needs to get her and her family out of the limelight and never show her TV on face again.

Woo hoo! Dave Letterman and Craig Ferguson are the best hosts in late night.

Sigh, I really wish there was a pit we could put people like this in, just to block them out from society...

I saw this on Letterman and thought it was funny. But I can understand why the Palin family is upset. If Dave said Sasha or Malia got knocked up there would be a huge uproar, in fact I'm certain Dave would never make that joke.

    Probably because of their age?

Anyone who trumpets christian values as loudly as sarah did and then allows her daughter to "homeschool" unsupervised with said daughter's boyfriend and then backpedals into the Bering Straits about her meaning of xian values when the daughter becomes a poster child for abstinence after having underage sex...

Sarah and her family are the epitome of hypocrisy. Anyone that encourages ridicule like the Palins have deserve every bit of it.

Besides, she lost. Had McCain/Palin won, the press would have given Sarah and her children a free pass, at least until they turned 18.

At which time the press would promptly "knock them up."

I don't believe this has anything to do with trumpeting christian values or winning/losing elections. This is about what's on or off the table in regards to making fun of public figures. So you hate Sarah Palin, I get it, the question is do you hate her enough to make fun of her and her kids?

I hate everyone enough to make fun of them and their kids.

Barack Obama's kids are made of barf, animated by grim Kenyan voodoo.

You can believe that, but since it isn't back up with anything other then you're "gut"....it seems silly.

Their age clearly plays into this 9/11 year olds vs 17 year olds(even Lettermen said they joke wouldn't have been about a 14 year old due to her age)

Didn't her kid get knocked up? Why is this a joke, and not just a recitation of facts?

Surely you see the difference between a 9 year old and a 17 year old.

Thank god this simpleton didn't make it to the White House.

If you're a public figure, everything is on the table.

Apparently you two don't realize that only one of their daughters was in New York on that day, and went to the game... and it wasn't Bristol. It was the 14 yr. old daughter. So, he couldn't have been making fun of Bristol, she wasn't even there!

My guess, a mistake by Letterman. He (or more likely his writers) THOUGHT it was Bristol. He inadvertently made a mistake by joking that a 14yr. old daughter of a sitting governor was knocked up by a professional baseball player on national television. Ooops.

The Palin's had every right to be upset. That being said, it was a mistake, Letterman apologized, etc.

Bristol is fair game. She has put herself out there doing all kinds of media interviews and even posed for the cover of People magazine. She is also over 18.

As for Letterman apologizing, I'm sure he was pressured to do so by CBS. Friggin' media is scared of their own shadow.

Letterman didn't need to apologize. The Palins are public figures and fair game. Anyone with half a brain knows he was referring to Bristol. Anyone who thinks otherwise, is reaching at best, and a fool at worst.
