This started in another thread, but really deserves it's own. I want Sarah to keep talking!

I wonder how many times she can say "from the bottom of my heart"? She keeps forgetting to mention that at the bottom of her heart is a huge black hole. :)

So, when god fails to elect her, what will she do?

Given that God is omnipotent and omnipresent, can God do wrong?

Isn't "God will do the right thing" a blatant statement of obvious fact?

Reminds me of Midas and the Oracle of Delphi. "If you invade, a great kingdom will be lost", said the Oracle. Midas took this as a positive, and invaded his neighbour, only to lose his own, great kingdom.

She does. She knows God will decide the election. The only problem is she is wrong about which party God has decided on.:D

While its quite obvious that Jesus would vote Democrat...
The Christian "God", I believe, would vote Republican, since both employ a "fear" tactic to recruit followers.

    This should be interesting...

Bingo , just what I was thinking. The news showed last night how some voters were voting McCain even when choosing Obama. Seems some machines made it real easy to choose the republican unless you very carefully pressed Obama's name.

The past 8 yrs has shown how these crooks are capable of anything and everything. Bring back paper ballots I say.

We still have paper in Chicago. But we're not a swing state, so I guess Diebold doesn't care. :)

Agreed. Colorado has both. You can vote by touch screen or by optical scan. I prefer the optical scan as it leaves a verifiable paper trail.

No, she's actually much more intelligent than Bush, which makes her views a whole lot more scary.

Yet another republican pants suit freak who thinks she's on a mission from God... like Michele Bachmann, the congresswoman from Minnesota. Here are some actual Bachmann quotes:

(From her speech at the Christian Life Center)

'God then called me to run for the United States Congress...'

'You are looking at a fool for Christ...this is a fool for Christ...'

(Speaking about her 2006 race for Congress)

'And you may have seen how God has, in His own will, and in His own plan, has focused like a laser beam, in His reasoning, on this race...'

(From her speech at the Christian Life Center, 2006)

'Because it is important that we put men and women of God into office in our government, Amen. And I don't want any more letters about church and politics don't mix. If that's your opinion, then you need to get saved...'

You know, for all that is wrong with politics in the UK (and there is plenty that is wrong) I just cannot imagine any politician getting up on a public platform and saying things like that — unless they are from some looney-fringe party.
Much less the public and media actually taking it seriously.

    Frightening.

Edit: Yes I know about the damn CoE in the House of Lords, but hopefully those unelected relics are on their way out.

God will decide the election if McCain wins.
If he doesn't it was voter fraud.

What you're really missing is that with people like these lunatics, the terrorists have won. The terrorists win every time we give up another freedom for security and every time we marginalize a group of people we don't like.

And all these nut jobs have to say is "freedom" and "God", and half the population votes for them.
