I can see why the McCain camp has limited her public exposure.
Number one rule in picking a running mate: Make sure he/she can talk.
I decided to give her a chance and listen to her thoughts, but after several attempts, she is embarrassing to listen to. She will get owned by Biden if she is anything like her interviews. I think it is clear that she cannot think on the fly.
What ...In... The ... Hell...Is she talking about ? It surely isn't the bailout plan.
I think this could be the worst performance ever in an interview by a politician. bar none.
But I'll let the governor speak for herself:
Katie Couric was like... "WTF are you on?" I'm scared as hell right now.
Jesus, no wonder McCain is looking for distractions like suspending his campaign.
How much you wanna bet that when McCain gets back, he recommends canceling one of the debates, and it's the Vice Presidential one?
I just saw the clip of "I can see Russia from my house" the sequal and let me tell you it was one of the most uncomfortible thing to watch I've ever seen. And I can remember the Chevy Chase show.
could someone post a video link?
Wow...WTF...She can't even attempt to answer the question. Instead, we get the helium response.
And I thought UK politicians were bad at giving direct (make that any) answers
I have come to the conclusion that the video must have been altered because there is no way that could've been her actual answer.
It is inexcusable to (obviously) know so little about one of the biggest topics in American/world politics/economics.
I'd say she's as dumb as rock, but that would really be insulting to rocks.
On a similar note, I would say her selection by Sen. McCain is an insult to the population of the USA.
I would even go so far as to call it an abuse of power. When you are the one who has been selected as the herder of the sheep, the rest of the country kinda expects you to make decisions that at least won't sink the ship.
And to think that this was his response to Hillary Clinton??
Just by being in this race Palin is setting women back at least 30 years. It will be a long time before another woman is seen on a major ticket if this is used as an example.
I think David Letterman summed it up nicely...
"McCain taking Palin to meet world leaders at the United Nations was like "take-your-daughter-to-work day."
Her responses are kind of like Google's randomly generated ads. When a code word is spotted (economy, healthcare etc.) she'll put out a generic response!
She's a gobshite as we'd say in Ireland.
Palin makes Dan Quayle look like a Rhodes Scholar. Not to worry, Republicans can always place the blame for this surreal interview on the "media elites" for, you know, asking her so many tough and unfair questions, and use that as an excuse for continuing to keep her away from the press. I'd also predict that she will disappear from view for at least three days before her debate with Biden. They will have to rehearse her to within an inch of her life.
Can any Republican step forward and honestly say this is a good idea for the person, who in a heartbeat be our next president?
Just step in and back her up?...
Hearkens back to this:
I was going to post a link to that last night.
A beauty pageant winner running the largest power in the world..
Hearing Palin is like watching/listening to a Rickey Gervais sketch. You squirm, you wince and you keep on watching.
Another great clip of the Belignorant Barracuda
Tonight we will hear from her senile side-kick
Please. Somebody try and defend this. I really can't stand us all being in agreement
this is a great interview compared to the next one?
Okay.. one good thing to say about Palin............
She makes the late night talk/comedy shows worth watching!
