Coming from Android, I'm used to parallel synching of contacts between Google contacts and an Android phone; meaning when something on one end is changed, the change is reflected on the other.

With that being said, I know that the iPhone allows synching with Google contacts...but is it a one-way street, or does it both send and receive those changes?

I ask because I synched with the Google contacts originally to get the contacts onto the phone...but am afraid to re-synch as there's data about certain contacts I've changed on the phone that I HTINK might get overwritten if I synch again.

Please correct me if I'm wrong...

If it's setup as an Exchange account I believe that changes will be reflected on both ends. If you update a contact on gmail it will update it on the phone and vice versa. That's what I've read online.
