Anyone lining up early at Partridge Creek for the iPhone 5? Someone commented in the Somerset thread that there's a sign saying the line starts at 5 AM. What if you want to get there before that? Will mall security send you back to your car? Anyone know from previous year's experience?

    Thanks!

Yeah that was me. Im not sure how they keep you away. Last year for 4S I got there around 6 and the line was decent. About 30 people. But when I talked to people ahead most had been there since 1 to 3 am. Same location as this year. So not sure how tough they are on the early comers.

I am going at 5:30 or so. If its real bad at that point I will just think of a plan B of an att store or best buy.

I stood in line there for the 3GS and got there 30 minutes prior to store opening and only had to wait about 15 minutes beyond that. Sounds like more people are lining up these days.

Hard to say. The line was all in the parking lot but it's wrapping up to the store now so I can't see the whole thing. It is getting longer.

Wow! That's a whole lot more than there was when I stood in line for the 3GS a few years ago.

No line folks for Partridge Creek for 5S yet? It's very close for me. Half tempted to come line up at 5 or 6. My other thought is to stop at the AT&T store at Schoenherr if there aren't a bunch of people there when I drive by on my way in. Not taking the day off, so I'll just have to stay late. Anyone know if AT&T stores open early for iPhone launches?

I'm glad I didn't drive the hour, one-way, to get there and be disappointed.

    I ended up going to www.apple.com. :D

I went to my local AT&T store, 2 miles away from my home and they didn't have any in stock.

So, what was the quoted wait for your order from the Apple website?

Honestly, that isn't bad for not getting up and waiting in line. Congrats! If my daughter didn't have a broken phone, I would have done the order thing.

From what I've seen around here on the forums, had I ordered a gold one, and not the silver, I could've seen it simply say 'October' and no associated dates. But I didn't learn that until after I ordered.

Either way, I don't mind since my 4S is still working great.
