So I upgraded to 2TB of storage now that Apple is letting us share with family. Finally installed iOS11 on my daily driver (iPhone 7+; so far so good) but it’s not letting me invite anyone to share my storage. Is it working for anyone?

Has anyone else tried this on the newest beta?

I have been using it since the first beta, no issue. I guess the first question is do you have everyone setup in Family Sharing? If so, are you able to see purchases etc and everything is good there? If so, all that is left is turning on shared space in iCloud settings and selecting your family members. You will need to go back to their devices after you get it working and set them to the free tier. It did not downgrade them for me automatically so I paid for another month for each.

Thanks for the reply. It seems they’ve changed the way setting up Family Sharing works - there are now four options presented:

When I select iCloud Storage sharing, and try to send a message to the person, it gives an error message:

Unfortunately, my iTunes Match (App Store and iTunes account) are different than my main iCloud (which the storage is connected to) - this was of course a clumsy workaround to the sharing problem back before Apple came up with Family Sharing. But it means that I can’t try setting up “legacy” sharing and then adding the storage afterwards, as The accounts are different.

I still use different logins for iTunes and iCloud and will unless they develop a way to combine the logins but doubt it. I can't tell you anything about the error since I didn't get it and have to work through it. Maybe setup one of the other services first and see if that will do anything. I have all of those options working with the family. I am the organizer with my iCloud ID. I share using my iTunes ID which entered during setup, it will ask if you have another ID to use.
