Is it true by having the battery percentage turn on will the phone use more battery usage?
No, the percentage is already used by the OS to display the battery graphic representation of it and to determine the 20% and 10% marks.
So is not a bad idea to turn it on then?
No, unless you are obsessed with not using your phone much due to battery drain, I would recommend it.
I know my question sounds crazy but that's what I heard. Lol
I need to stop looking at that percentage.
Damn, now my phone went down to 97%
Don't worry, I'm having fun at the expense of AppleJuiced....
@jav6454 are you getting the iPhone 5?
You should do some tests and report back your findings!
If it is as described by the "leaks" then I'll most likely won't. I don't want or like a bigger screen. I think it is beyond idiotic.
That said, I will buy it if they offer the traditional 3.5" form factor.
nah, go crazy watching the numbers go down w/out affecting your battery!
I'm OCPD and need to see the percentage, I'm always turning it on when friends give me theirs to show them how to do stuff w/out them asking. The percentage tends to be pretty accurate; is great for mid-day battery check so you adjust your usage and make it last the time you need for the day before getting to a charger.
A known remedy to worries over battery drain is to turn off the battery % sign.
