Well, I almost felt bad for him. Big blow to him, particularly with weak debate performances already. Unfortunately I'd like to see the less electable candidates doing better ;).

And ladies and gentlemen that is what an education form Texas A&M gets you. There is a reason why there are so many Aggies jokes making fun of Aggies for being well stupid. (Yes Rick Perry gradutated from Texas A&M. Yet another reason why I am proud of the fact I DID NOT go there.)

I might like to point out this is the same man who refuses to use Texas Rainy day fund for what it exactly was made for. To cover short falls in the budget so education does not have to take a hit during bad times. Education in Texas passed the point of cutting the fact and has been sawing off bone.

Rick Perry you are an idiot.

GOP mentality: cut everything, no matter what, even if you don't remember the name or why you're cutting it. All in the name of smaller government. Idiots.

The man actually said "I would do away with education."

And that's exactly what he means. Sadly.

Looks like more education is required here, not less.

    What a dumbass.

Sad to say, but ignorance is a virtue in the Republican Party.

What is it with Texas and dumb governors? First Dubya, and now this moron. It seems that intelligence is a liability in Texas politics.

Obviously Perry is so brilliant, that he's intentionally dumbing himself down to appeal to the electorate. Just like GWB did!

    Republicans can rationalize anything!

Why is it that a Republican comes out in favor of anything reasonable, they lose in the primaries? John McCain and Mitt Romney both stood for many principals that were middle of the road or even slightly progressive... before they ran for president. Why on earth do conservatives primary voters think you have to be 100% conservative on every issue in order to be elected?

Does anyone actually think Bill Clinton or Barack Obama were 100% liberal/progressive? Do you think the difference between Obama and Clinton was which one was the most radically left-wing? I'm sorry, but despite what the right-wing echo chamber says, Obama is less progressive than Nixon was.

The guy is clearly an idiot, but if you search Obama gaffes on Youtube, you would come to a similar conclusion.

This is probably going to help his number rather than hinder them. People relate to this stuff because they don't have any idea what hes talking about anyways.

True but I'd also find thousands of coherent speeches. The most coherent thing Perry has said is, "I stepped in it".

There is little clearer evidence that the right wants to cut spending willy-nilly, so much so that they can't even remember what it is they want to cut, just that it needs to go.

He brainfarted, and it's going to cost him.

Anybody who thinks this is really a sign of intelligence (or lack of it), you're kidding yourself.
