Their suggestion to Ben and Jerry's
It's just...there are no words.
all i can say is wow
At the risk of being distasteful, I would think people might only buy something like that if they got it straight from the source. PETA is always interesting.
Next they will insist that the gallon milk you buy be human ...
For some reason I don't find that as strange as drinking cow milk. Seriously! It's milk from another animal and you're drinking it after infancy! WFT?
soy based ice cream would be a better argument. sometimes i don't get their line of reasoning at all.
That's just creepy!
i dont want to be drinking milk from someone elses breats..
i like regular milk! from cows that is
Lack of tasty animal protein and fat do strange things...
Sometimes their reasoning is simply to get publicity and stunts like this accomplish it with pretty much zero cost for them.
Their HQ is local to where I live. Actually dated someone who worked for them (as an admin assistant). It was cool that he got to take my dog to work with him every day for the few months he worked there, but that was about it.
its called society. in ours, it is considered gross to drink human milk... while i see where you are coming from, it just wont happen
just like how in the us, people dont eat bugs for food yet other civilizations do. its all how your society feels about it that shapes your views on whats ok and whats gross
Not only that, but I would imagine soy milk is more readily available and cheaper as well. How many lactating women would sell their milk to their local dairy bottler?
Wow...that is pretty ridiculous. Human milk? What? Do they want to put Ben and Jerry's out of business?
Um, WOW, I am speechless
I thought that they were a little absurd with some of their protests, statements and suggestions in the past, but this just blows me away.
Surely I'm not the only one picturing the farms.
I'm thinking I should remove that I am a PETA member from my facebook, I thought PETA stood for People who Eat and Torture Animals.
not to mention that
1) there would now be even more labor costs......probably pretty high
2) regulations on diets
3) drug screenings and disease issues
im sure there's many more
LMAO, this is exactly what popped into my head!
to me PETA stands for People who Eat Tasty Animals. now give me some chicken!
Now I know what I wanna be when I grow up: a dairy farmer.
I've long hated PETA. They're really a disgusting organisation in their practices and even some of their beliefs. They constantly go beyond what they should on pretty much everything and I am not really surprised by this.
Edit: Just to clarify, though, this particular thing is just stupid, not really disgusting.
PETA never had much for minds to begin with.
I would never ever buy human milk.
Almost all animal groups and most human rights, and most lawyers, and politicians, are RETARDED!!!
This is just a step in the wrong direction
Someone please remind me to never, ever eat at the Storchen restaurant should I ever find myself in Switzerland.
I was under the impression that PETA felt that having animals as pets was a form of enslavement. Or am I thinking of another wacky insane group?
+1, this deserves to be said a second time
I always thought PETA meant "People Eating Tasty Animals".
I personally belong to MEAT (Mankind for Ethical Animal Treatment). Much better organization and low in carbs too.
