PETA is a laughing stock... Now they want everyone to stop fishing because it's harassment of the fish and you are invading their territory...

Invading an animal's natural habitat, harassing them, killing them, and eating them for fun is so cruel. Don't go fishing this summer, or EVER.

    Whackadoodles!

But a few of the comments to the tweet are funny..

I don't see the point in fishing if it is not to eat.

I can see it now. Mobs of PETAs making signs.

    “Fish have feeling too!”

PETA does deploy half naked hotties to hold signs and protest so I am all for and support this protest as long as they agree to adhere to the half naked hottie part...

I don't think that can justify it either - the money spent on "fishing gear" would buy a lot of food

One can teach a man to fish or you can give him a fish day after day after day. That is the basic difference in method between the two political sides.

Let us all say the pledge!

    Fish are friends not food!

“Fish are sentient individuals.” Ummm what? They are not individuals. I suppose they’d be perfectly ok with aborting a 30 week old sentient fetus tho

It is not the same to eat a fish from the supermarket as one that you caught yourself.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will spend a lot of money on funny hats and beer.

I’m perfectly fine with catching and eating fish and hunting animals as long as they are eaten and used. Killing for a sport (like what Trump’s kids do is unacceptable imo)

If you want to shoot a beautiful lion or tiger, you better eat it and use the rest for an actual purpose like the Indians used every bit of their kill.

What about the mass execution of all those fruits and vegetables! They are living as well! What right do we have to kill and eat them.

Not only that.. We are eating the animal’s food. Very cruel and inhumane... lot of people are telling me that and other things. Very sad!

Is this cruel? Skinning a live lamb calf? While I'm not sure if I agree with their fish tweet, they do rightly point out human cruelty to animals in general.
