Talk about blast from the past, though they may have more (historical) clout and potential than, say, Independent, or Green. Depending on how Centrist they are, this could be the perfect time to pick up those Reds who are disenchanted with the Republican Party, and how it's been hijacked by the "tea party".

I love it. But fiscal conservative Republicans shouldn't have to give up their party name. The upstart Tea Party folks should leave and form their own party. I have the party name already picked out for them: Know Nothing. The platform is almost the same.

In any case, I wonder if I will get a chance to vote for a Whig one of these days.

haha - so awesome. I was laughing right up until the point I actually clicked
and read about the "know nothing party" at which point, as an irish immigrant in America, I was sad:(
