Hi guys, I open a thread here too, in the apple forums I didn't get much feedback.
I bought a new 4K monitor, and when I hooked it up on display port 1.2 it worked fine, but I noticed the blacks were rather grey, washed out and too bright. I tried the HDMI connection and the colors where correct this time (albeit limited at 30Hz instead than 60).
This monitor has PIP so I can show you exactly the difference between the two inputs at the same time, as in the attached photo. The Mac just outputs two different calibrations, the screen itself it's fine (when hooked on an older MacBook it displays the blacks just fine).
I run Mojave 10.14.2. I already tried resetting SMC and PRAM, deleting the Color Profile in Library, selecting a different color profile, and creating a new user. Also rebooting don't change anything. What can it be the cause?
I already had other two screens before, a 1080i and a 4K, and the brightness over display port was just fine. It's just this screen and I
don't know what to do.
Thanks!
