Photo editing app for OSX? ( I dont need something as powerful as Photoshop )

    Looking for a good photo editing app to do basic editing and what not...Photoshop is just a little to much for what i need, Was curious if there is anything out there is a good track record?

    You can do basic editing with iPhoto. If that is not powerful enough for you, consider using GIMP.

    Or Pixelmator or raw photo processor or ... yeah well.

    Photoshop ELEMENTS

    A great program which has everything the average amateur photographer needs. It is simply a stripped down version of Photoshop. Use the free trial.

    If it is not too much you can try Seashore... its free

    Pixelmator is pretty nice. I demoed it but never bought it. I've seen it on Amazon for as little as $15.

    Elements is also nice, though I think at $70 you might actually consider Aperture 3—if you're a student. I nabbed one on campus for $60 and I use it much, much more than Photoshop.

    Didn't care for Seashore, but it is free!

    ToyViewer is lightweight but surprisingly powerful.

    Of all the free options, Acorn Free is currently the best out there, although Seashore is being developed again and has promise.
