Hello all... just noticed another small bug today.

My 2012 cMBP(yes I know it’s old)still runs like a champ.Running latest OS.

I’m upgrading machines soon so I’m doing a bit of house cleaning.

Got to my photos and realized there are tons I don’t need or have in other places.

So gradually over the last week or so I went from 47,000 pics down to 13,700.

Or at least that’s what the machine says in the photos app.

If I delete or add photos the total number will stay at 13,700. I cannot get an accurate total. I know the photos are in fact deleted.

In storage it says photos is using about 49gb of HD space.

I rebooted and still stuck.

I’m planning on buying a 128gb flash drive today, going to just dump the entire library into a new drive.

Any advice on how to fix this, would be appreciated.

TIA!

What does it say if you select them all? Also, you can rebuild your library. Hold down Option-Command while you open Photos and then click Repair.

Thanks for the reply. I did rebuild the library and it still says the same amount.

I went to dump all the photos onto a flash drive and the application crashed. So I’m not sure what the deal is.

I would be happy by just getting all these photos into the new flash drive.
