Now that I've udated to Photos instead of iPhoto, I can no longer share photo albums with my Apple TV on the local network. It appears that you can only do it via the cloud. Anyone confirm this, or know a workaround without a jailbreak?

It's working fine for me and I've not enabled the cloud for my photos yet. Check your iTunes setting for the pictures you want to share with the ATV. From iTunes, go File>Home Sharing>Choose Photos to Share with AppleTV... and select the Photos app.

    Hope that helps.

Home sharing Photos is at the moment the only solution. I think we will see iCloud for photos in the next revision of Apple TV.

Problem is, Home Sharing doesnt work as well as it should with Photos. When you update with any edits, faces or new photos it requires you to turn off home sharing, close iTunes and turn home sharing back on again for the changes to show on Apple TV.

Never had to do that with Aperture.
