18k gold? Looks good!
Kanye West, who?
Karl Lagerfeld, who?
You go head, OP!
Looks good, I would like to see some closer pics of the watch though
I think this is great, but as this catches on as it surely will, I'll be very interested to see how Apple treats this when the warranty claims start coming into the Genius bars on these gold platted watches.
I also wonder if this will step up Apple's plans to release their own gold-clad edition. I was predicting a $1-2K-priced gold watch by Thanksgiving, already, but maybe when the 6s is announced instead?
I couldn't pull it off but it's sexy as hell!
Obviously this will void your warranty.
Looks great! I'm not a huge fan of gold but I honestly think it looks amazing. Can you post pics of the leather strap as well?
Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the plating set you back?
Man in debating if I should use this company, watch plate, the $97 kickstarter, or just keep it SS...
Isnt that project for the kit? You would have to plate it yourself, right?
Yea it's a do it yourself kit. Not out till August
$599? Aren't there much cheaper and just as good options?
The $97 Kickstarter is so affordable, but I don't like the 24K Gold color option. If they had 18K, i'd be all over it.
Watchplate.com is still $399 and uses 18K gold, no?
All you need is 18K solution. Tons of it out there to buy for cheap.
Looks nice. Wouldn't pay $768 though
Correct, and with 35 micron plating, compared to 6 with VGP
Not gonna lie, this plating process looks amazing. I may have to consider buying a link band in the future for this purpose.
would love to see pics 6 weeks down the road w/ daily wear. my biggest concern with plating like this is durability.
Needs bigger images.
