So out of nowhere, some of the text on random pages on the internet is bolded and has a little green symbol on the upper right hand side when I use firefox on my mac. Right off the bat this looked suspicious to me, I had never seen this before. A page that I was reading was being slightly laggy and then I went to go click a link. I accidentally clicked one of these randomly bolded words instead. Now whenever I use google I get a pop up window on the right hand side of the screen trying to sell me random stuff based on whatever it is that I have searched, and I also get a bunch of little pictures under the first link on the google results page based of off what I have searched. It is EXTREMELY annoying and I want to get this crap off my computer.

When I right click the window there is an option to disable it, but clicking it does nothing because the window keeps popping up. I've attached some pictures to show you guys what these things look like. At first I just thought that I would use another browser but whenever I try and use either Safari or Chrome I get a pop up ad everytime I change websites. It really seems like this photozoom thing has done a number on my computer and I'm really hoping somebody else has had the same issue and knows how to help me out.

If its a safari extension, then click Safari on your menu bar and select Preferences, next select the Extensions tab, highlight extension in question and click the Uninstall button.

maflynn - that was the very first thing I tried and it didn't work. On Safari the same thing happens only its called Dynamic Pricer. I tried uninstalling Firefox and deleting the dmg file and then re-installing it but that didn't work either.

I think I've gotten rid of it now, I just found the extensions section of Firefox which I hadn't found because it wasn't in Firefox's preferences. Hopefully it stays gone.

    How To Remove This Pest!

I don't even know what I clicked on, when I was on the computer the other day, all I know is that, one minute my computer was fine, the next I was bombarded with these nasty green pop up boxes at the bottom right of my screen (Mac).

Not only that, I noticed when I was on Amazon and Ebay, I got these nasty orange boxes, that would just appear if I hovered over a picture, saying "More", once you hover over it, it comes up with about 10 different sellers for that product.

From a business point of view, this is scary, and if you don't know anything about pop ups, you can be mistaken to think that they are meant to be there! It's a complete invasion, and if I want to find anything, I'm happy to search for it on Google, not have windows and pages popping up, left right and centre.

I had one page that kept opening and talking really loud. It frightened the bejazers out of me. It was so loud, I found myself looking around, like I was watching porn or something, even though I was on my own. # # kmt

It can really ruin your experience. Anyway bla bla bla.....

How to remove... I went into the Tools menu, in the Firefox bar at the top of my computer, clicked on add ons and disabled 'Photo Zoom V10'. For some reason, it would not let me remove it, the remove tab was not available, doesn't matter, I disabled it, and my mac is purring like a kitten again. Horrid experience.

Did anyone notice that it messed up Google Search too? Every time I put a search in, I got an extra 10 or so lines, with a tiny x window to close them. Really annoying too. That's all gone now, and I've done the same to my Chrome browser too, because for some reason, it managed to infest that too.

    Hope that helped anyways.
