I was watching the commercial for the next thermostat. In it was someone using an iPhone, but something didn't look right. I paused it, and sure enough the screen was wider than the current one. The picture is attached. Please tell me if its just me or the phone looks off.
I don't know. I think OP is on to something. Bezel left and right of the screen is thinner. Also the home button looks higher. It's not in the middle..
It's just the video. You really think Apple purposely used the new (and unreleased) iPhone in a video for the Nest? What makes more sense: it's just the video (angle/post-production screen simulation etc...) or that Apple threw in a new unreleased product for a video about another company's product?
(Facepalm) It only looks like this because it's clearly a screen capture slapped on in editing that hasn't exactly been placed to perfection. What a ridiculous thread...
Looks wider but no way Apple sent Nest an unreleased prototype to film a commercial with. Just no way...
Could there be a possibility that the screen was added later in editing (as stated above) and the added image was made slightly larger to show off the features of the app more clearly?
