Does anyone know where I can obtain a Playstation emulator? OS X if possible?
Go to www.emulation.net they have all Mac emulators that are avaliable. They have a PS1 emulator for Mac OS X but I have not found any games that work on it yet (although I have only tried demo disks).
I have Connectix Virtual Gamestation which is probably the best PSX emulator for Mac today. It is rather old however as it was discontinued by Connectix several years ago. It is only for OS 9 and is not supported in OSX's Classic feature. However, I believe it is the best in terms of speed and compatibility. Good luck finding a copy though.
It was discontinued because Sony threatened to sue if they continued to release it. Figures huh?
Yeah I heard about Sony's legal threats. Good thing I got it before they discontinued it and they can't make it stop working. At least I hope not...
There are usually a few copies floating around on eBay.
Actually, Sony lost that case against Connetix. So they just bought VGS from Connetix and discontinued it.
Hmmm, didn't know that. I thought Connectix lost but I guess it goes to show you that usually whoever has the most money wins out in the end. Too bad...
Yeah I remember that now, it was just easier to picture sony as the big bully
lol yeah it'll be much better if microsoft makes a virtual pc because we can control all the interfaces
