iPhone 5S, I wish the camera was in the center of the phone. Makes for easier holding on the edges and not getting fingers in the way.

I like it where it is at and I don't run into that issue myself, unless I've been drinking.

    You're holding it wrong.

It doesn't really matter to me where the camera is.

I like it where it is, I hate cameras that have it in the exact middle, or the upper portion but in the middle. I think its perfect where its at right now.

No, that's the traditional setup of a camera.

And yes, you're holding it wrong. At least for taking photos. Remember, you're taking a photo, not taking a phone call or reading the news. Loosen your grip and move your hand slightly to the bottom away from the lens. This lets you turn the phone with ease too.

First thing we learnt in Photography class years ago. :D

Which means, of course, that it is a constant and ongoing problem!!:p

Actually, it would make it harder because your fingers will have to be closer to the lens.

    That's bad.

I also prefer having the camera in the middle. While it certainly isn't a deal breaker in the corner, if I had the choice then I would take the middle.

The reason it is slightly nicer in the middle, from a user standpoint, is that said user can hold the camera literally any way he/she wants without hands being in the way. The way it is now, not so much. From a build standpoint, unless they make the phone notably bigger, it would get in the way of the battery, big time, and I am not sure Apple is very interested in making the phone's footprint much, if any, bigger.

Frankly, camera location is the last thing that I even considered on a list of things I would like to see on the next iPhone. Granted, much of that list is purely software related. While I can see a hardware refresh, just because, well, Apple does that to nearly all of their products on a yearly basis, I don't think it is absolutely necessary on a user basis (though I recognize it is necessary from a business standpoint).

For me the middle position is the better one, too. If I could choose. I can't, I know. It would reduce the (practically hard to measure) parallax with current offcenter position. Maybe only relevant for hardcore panorama shooter and stitcher. :p

of course middle would be better but then you need to manufacture a battery with a hole in the middle
