When I play a podcast that has been downloaded to my AW, it does not appear to sync the play progress with the Podcasts app on my iPhone. So if I start a podcast on my AW and want to continue it later on my iPhone, the iPhone starts from the beginning rather than where I left off on the AW. The Podcasts app on my AW is set to mirror my iPhone (Listen Now section). Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi,

Yes, that happens to me too. It seems is a bug from Apple iOS because it does not make any sense.

Yeah me too, at times. What I want is a running time displayed on the watch. I always have to refer to the phone to see how much time is left. YES - I did submit that idea to Apple.

This sometimes happens to me as well. Sometimes I will cycle the app (close and reopen it) and that'll do it, but not always.

Same problem here - generally I’m not very impressed by the podcast implementation as there are times where it fails to sync downloaded podcasts as well. Then I need to force quit the app and reboot my watch/phone and place it on the charger to start syncing.

The big issue to me is to have to plug in the watch to get synchronized new podcasts.

I thought if you started the podcast from the watch, it will download from the iDevice until finished.
Not at all, to sync the available podcast from your iPhone, you need to plug your watch in.

Thanks. That's crazy. The series 4 watch has very good battery life so its not much of a drain.
Exactly and if you turn off your bluetooth connection and just left wifi, the synchronization is very fast therefore it wouldn’t drain the battery either. Definitely, it doesn’t make any sense. Maybe in future updates.
