I tried posting this in the beta thread, but no one responded.

The podcasts download, but when the processing stage hits, I see the up arrow and the download error message. It's been like this all week.

Tried resetting, no change.
Tried powering off, no change.
Unsubscribung and deleting then re subscribing, no change.
Tried the put the phone in airplane mode and refresh trick, no change.

Any ideas?

I can't get the podcast page to show up. If I tap on a podcast I'm just brought to a blank page (Beta 1)

Haven't tried that yet, but they are 3 different podcasts from 3 different DJ's. I can stream them, they just won't download.

I've tried from several locations both wifi and cellular.

If those podcasts are not downloadable from iTunes, podcasts might not be able to download as well.
Try to send a service request to Apple? This might shake things a little bit.

I am able to download to my rMBP using iTunes, but they won't download to the app.

There's 89GB free on my iPhone, so it's not a memory issue. It has to be a bug in the beta 8.4 I'm running.

I went to the Apple Store and it took a manager to 'force' the genius to restore me back to 8.3. So, podcasts now work. Also, my Apple Watch wouldn't work with this beta either. All is well on 8.3.

The genius is a by the book, letter of the law kind of person. He seemed to equate an authorized beta with an unauthorized one. He claimed that if he (or I) restored the phone and it malfunctioned, the warranty would be void; Applecare or not.

I tried to read the disclaimer yet the website is down. Does the disclaimer on the public beta for iOS really say that?

I didn't read that because my podcast can download, with no issue.

In fact, commonly, you should use beta product (Apple Watch 1st gen, for example:D) at your own risk. :)

Reading the disclaimer before installing a beta has nothing to do with your podcast (from Apple) downloading.

It is a good practice to read them, but I chose not to at this time.

I only asked because I wanted to confirm what the genius said.

Well, result is so obvious. And we all know better about apple and their policy. :apple:

Use at your own risk....:(

This might be a good opportunity to switch to one of the third party podcast apps. Downcast and Pocket Casts are my favorite.

App itself is ok. But you should also consider the contents. Different app may provide different contents. I think.
