The chief of police should know better. Well another idiot with a gun.

Shot her twice. Accidentally, of course.

Is this one of Southern Dad's law enforcement buddies?

It was first reported as twice but now they are saying just once.

This is what bothers me about the inequality in law enforcement.

Had this not been a cop the odds are he would have been arrested for at least suspicion.

Because they don't have more rights.

    But they do.

There are laws on the books both State and Federal that state if your profession is(or was) law enforcement you can do X even if you are off duty or retired. If you or I get caught doing X we would face Jail time.

Like every other police involved shooting it has been turned over to the GBI for investigation.

How is this a "police involved shooting"? Shouldn't that only apply if he's on duty? Otherwise, isn't he just like any other person ... shooting their wife?

POST certified officers in Georgia are on duty, 24/7. This also involved his service weapon. It is standard procedure in Georgia for all police involved shootings to be investigated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Besides if the local district attorney decided to investigate it, the liberals in here would insist that it needs to be investigated by someone outside of the county.

Not for nothing, but it is interesting to note that you are the only one to make this partisan. No-one so far in this tread has made this a liberal/conservative issue.

Yes, I know Brad, I'm one of the few that will call it truthfully. Others will think it, say it but not type it. In this forum, we know the left equals anti-cop, the right is anti-criminal. It's nothing new.

    A. I wasn't thinking political at all.
    B. To say left=anti-cop and right= anti criminal implies all liberals are criminals.
    C. My oldest brother was a cop for 20 years.

They do, but they shouldn't. Protect and serve is different from Control and concur.

Good point. It just makes me wonder why so many liberals in this forum continue to defend criminals at all costs.

Yes. I've always wondered why the right always use terms like "at all costs" when falsely accusing liberals of being criminals.

    ;)
