"A white police officer in North Charleston, S.C., was charged with murder on Tuesday after a video surfaced showing him shooting and killing an apparently unarmed black man in the back while he ran away."

Video of shooting shows the officer firing his weapon 8 times at a man who was running away from the officer. The man was stopped for a traffic violation.

We finally found a video that can get a policeman convicted for murder?

I guess all those other videos just weren't clear enough.

I'm not going to cry over the death of a career criminal.

Dang. I'd only heard about his busted tail light.

    What else did he do?

Police Officer Charged with Murder After Shooting Unarmed Man

That's some hard words. This cop is guilty as hell. Whatever his past no one deserves to be killed like that.

But you cry over a few smart Asians who were forced to choose Yale cause AA excluded them from Harvard. Screw that black guy who took eight in the back and died over a broken taillight, we all know what's more important.

All Ivy league-caliber schools uses soft quotas on Asians. Unless, you didn't know that Yale is an Ivy league school. But regardless, you can't seem to stop posting irrelevance in every thread.

Yeah overarching social injustice is less of an issue as the death of career criminal. Glad you guys have your priorities straight.

    ----------

As for crying, why are you still crying about social injustices occurring more than a half a century ago?

No. It might be less of an issue as the death of an unarmed, fleeing citizen by an agent of the state. Glad you only care about institutional overreach so long as it happens to people without a past.

    1. Did the police officer know he was a career criminal?
    2. Since when did police officers become judge, jury and executioner?
    3. We all bemoan what isis is doing to people, how is executing an unarmed black man any different?
    4. Is America not a democratic country where they have laws, judgmental systems in place etc , or is it still the wild west?
    4. Your post is disgusting and I would love you to express the same views as you have just made, when I bullet goes into your neck for Jay Walking.

I was being facetious, I already knew the backstory, I'm just wondering about that poster's M.O.....pretty obvious.

It's amazing that the police reports and the cop's lawyer are directly contradicted by the video. The reports state that CPR was performed, a statement that the video clearly shows is false. The officer that showed up with the med kit did NOT attempt CPR...but it's in the report.

Now...why oh why would another police officer sign off on what he knows is a false report? Why?

The video shows that for several minutes after the shooting, Mr. Scott remained face down with his hands cuffed behind his back.

Cuff a corpse? That kind of creeps me out.

Obviously, this is why we need a law to make it a felony to photograph or take unauthorized videos of police while they are working. How can they do their job with the whole country looking over their shoulders all the time?

He's only charged. Just you wait until the actual court proceedings.

#1. FOX News and Rush Limbaugh will raise $800,000 for this cop's defense.

#2. A white jury could possibly acquit him.

#3. In the event that he is found guilty, he will get a light sentence, get out in 2 years for good behavior. And then FOX and Rush Limbaugh (and all Republicans) will again raise another $900,000 and help him get a book deal, and a movie deal, so he becomes a millionaire 8 years from now. Easy retirement!

Just a small heart? I thought they do everything big in Tejas!
