This incident of Police in Alabama killing this man remind me of reactions that animals exhibit. You run by a dog and it may chase after you. Run by a tiger, lion, bear or some other wild animal and you risk provoking or inciting it to come after you. He was black, had a pistol and was running.

Moral of the story is if you see an officer it is like seeing an animal because if you run the animal usually chases after you to kill.

Sad story.. may he RIP (assuming he was an innocent victim killed).

Damn. This is like so bad. I get that the police sometimes have to make a quick decision with little data and it isn’t easy but you can’t shoot unless your really sure of who you’re shooting at. No exceptions. Geesh.
So, killing innocent people should never ever happen.?.. Police only human, not some walking piece of advanced technology who never makes mistakes. Why did this guy running "away" with a gun ? it was just looking for disaster.

he wasan't even involved... Perhaps if he didn't have a gun, things would have played out differently...Wrong place, wrong time.

He had a gun because shots had just been fired . We are warned about this at class. You risk being targeted if you are the one armed in a high stress situation

Why would anybody be charged? Black guy with a gun. Of course they shot him dead. Have you guys not been paying attention?
It's just that it's not a narrative you often hear the likes of the NRA & other gun enthusiasts promoting as hard as 'a good guy with a gun' saving daughters, cars, & convenience stores.

Black people get shot for less. They get shot for sitting in their own apartments for crying out loud. The only mystery here is why does this story make the news? I think it goes without saying, if you are a black person with a gun out in the open, you will get shot in the arse. That's just life.

Which is kind of the point of why it makes the news. Unless of course it doesn't trouble you, and should be considered the norm.

If that's life, well...

Other gun groups are stepping in. Plenty are mad at the NRA
But are the other groups running ads shaming others?

The issue hasn't been all gun groups, it's been the hypocrisy of the NRA that people call out. A group that wants to be at the forefront of the gun debate for financial reasons but is often shown they shouldn't be.

Yes, absolutely, YES. Innocent people should never be killed. It would be nice if we could all agree on this one.

Officers often act out of adrenaline but that doesn't mean they shouldn't also be held accountable, each one of these incidents is also an opportunity to learn from it. There are those who support carrying these weapons but then are quick to judge a person when they're in a situation like this as well, you can't have it both ways.
