Agreed. 13 straight days of 100F/38C or hotter temps where I'm at.. we could definitely use that here in Norcal.. But drought and all.. :(

    Anyway, a question:

Call me old-fashioned here, but didn't Ben Franklin teach us that water and electricity don't mix?

I'm assuming their gear is water proof, otherwise they wouldn't ever be able to do their jobs in the rain.

technically its electricity and ions in the water that don't mix. water itself doesn't conduct electricity

I road my motorcycle to Redwood City to visit Marine World. It must have been > 100 F that day. Then I road back north through the city and across the GGB on my way back to Sant Rosa. I had to stop above Sausalito to put on my coat it was so damn cold. I had to stop again north of Novato near Petaluma to strip back down due to the heat.

    Dating myself here..

It reminds me of the end of Naughty By Nature's video for Hip Hop Hooray, where you have kids rolling up on some other kids, getting out of a car looking like street thug gangstas, pull out the water guns, and start going at it.

Looks serious, but all in all, just good fun.
