I saw in the news that Phyllis Stewart Schlafly passed away on Monday at the age of 94.

Her last commentary was on Trump's visit to Mexico.

What an ugly woman she was (her views). One less vote for Trump! She wanted to impeach Justice Kennedy when he voted to abolish the death penalty for minors.

Of course, Trump played the fool once again.

Her viewpoints are one thing but don't you think she should be honored for all her accomplishments ?

She seems like one of those people that is really sweet and nice in person, but in her policy impact was a real detriment to progress (like Joe Biden). She spearheaded the movement that prevented us from getting the Equal Rights Amendment when it was likely to pass decades ago....and we still haven't seen it since.

That said, she was quite intelligent, seemed to be a lovely person (aside from her negatively impacting the lives of millions) when Tom Hartmann interviewed her again just a few weeks ago.

Wow...even death doesn't stop Trump from promoting himself. Truly a despicable person. Why anyone wants to vote for someone so self obsessed that he would even use someone's death to promote himself, is beyond me. Really bizarre. Couldn't even spell her name right. Yeah that's some honor and gratitude there. (Though he has since fixed it).

The only thing she seemed to accomplish was seeing how hateful she could be towards certain groups and how outlandish she could make her comments.

Here's a fun list of them:

And she was infamous in the gay community for her charming comments directed towards us:

She truly was a horrible person. And while I would never wish death on anyone, the world is just a wee bit brighter now. It does sadden me that she spent a lifetime never learning, never growing as a person. Holding onto her discriminatory views and never letting go. Not only not understanding, but not even trying to understand.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you do something to set back women's rights.
