Oh, where to begin on this...

First off, only the Artists/Record Labels/etc. "own" the various songs out there, so in that sense I don't "own" any music, and in an equivalent sense, neither does anyone else here.

Secondly, I have no Beatles music anywhere on my iMac or on any of my iPods, so therefore I have no "Apple" music. If you don't get the Beatles/Apple inference, go read up on the subject.

Thirdly, my music has yet to be purchased through iTMS, since I have a bunch of CDs and generally prefer to support indie bands and artists. For instance, my latest purchase is of Mark Cairn's Airwolf Themes music, which became available first through PinnacleDigital UK as 192K MP3s.

Fourthly, well... there is no Fourthly, so my list of reasons ends here. :p :)

Six of them I owned before Apple, two I bought after the adverts. Eight total ;)

Strangely almost no one has Honeycut by Exodus Honey, I quite liked that song.

I have four. Only one of which was purchased in direct response to an Apple Ad. (1234 by Feist. I knew her work, and had been kind of planning on buying her album, but had never seen the video. Seeing the video on the ad convinced me to go buy the video on iTunes.)

I also have "I Fought The Law" by Green Day, which isn't an "Apple" song directly, but was used in the Apple/Pepsi iTunes Store giveaway promo ad, which was technically a Pepsi ad.

Could be not many others have heard of it before. Why not stick it up on the DailyTunes section of MacRumors? It's what lots of us do to help raise awareness of stuff we like.

That was a less than good way to put together a poll. All they did is pick some random songs. I haven't heard of hardly any of the songs they list, but that has nothing to do with me using iTunes. Oh well I suppose it's no worse than the CNN polls.

None of them. I'm old. I listen to boring old jazz music.

None. There's more chance of Apple using some music because I've purchased it than me purchasing some music because Apple used it :D

Steve and I obviously have very different musical tastes. Somebody should send him Imogen Heap's album.

I'm a hippie jam-bander, so most of my music is live and free on Archive.org. However, I will buy stuff from iTMS occasionally. I don't own any of the stuff from the ads but can sing the words to all of them. If anyone ever needs a good Phil & Friends show just ask...

I have only one song, Vertigo by U2. In fact I have only listened to that song twice in the few months since I purchased it in the Complete U2. They have much better songs than that one.

Of the other songs, in that list of Apple songs, I have only heard of two others but would never be interested in buying them.

I have just one song from an Apple commercial: Vertigo by U2. I don't listen to the genre's represented in the commercials (Hip-hop, Rap, Jazz). U2 comes the closest to a rock band/artist that I've ever heard in an Apple commercial.

On second thought, I do have another song that was once in an Apple commercial after all: She's A Rainbow by The Rolling Stones

I have the vertigo single and Jet's album, but the rest of it really isn't my cup of tea.

    Lord Sam

I've bough 8/11 songs, all of them after the I saw the ads. Apple picks good music to pair with it's good products.

I don't have any of those. My wife has the Feist song, but she had it before the iPod ad.

It's not that I don't like any of it, I just didn't feel like buying any of it.
