It will be interesting to see if he is able to salvage these numbers over the course of his term. Of course it could be a very short term if the Republicans want to replace him with Pence. I doubt they will do it, but once foreign government officials start checking out of his hotel today or tomorrow and he accepts payment from them congress would have a legal reason to start impeachment proceedings.

I see promoting Penske as perceived as a valid strategy for the GOP.

We have a Facebook group "The Deplorables" and out of some 300k comments, only maybe a handful says they even got called or saw an online poll.

I do wonder who exactly they were polling because no one I know who voted for Trump was part of that poll.

You should take a statistics class so you can learn how polls work. They take a small representative sample which due to the size there is a good chance will not include people you personally know. I bet no one you know who voted for Clinton was part of the poll either.

That doesn't mean much. I've never been called for a poll ever. And they have had decades to try! But nope!

Yeah, but we can say that political polls haven't been reliable as of lately. While the hard # can say one thing, we should keep this into consideration.

At the most the election polls were a percent or two off outside the margin of error. They haven't been that unreliable. And without going back and looking to double check I'm pretty sure they were within the margin of error on the popular vote, just they were off a bit in two or three states.

They missed several key states, margin of error or not. Mind you, I am not saying that this approval rating is wrong (or right), simply that it doesn't mean a lot, at least to me.

Take a statistics class. If the final result was within the margin of error they were not wrong.

I understand what you're saying; what I am saying is that - margin of error or not - they were not reliable for drawing conclusions.

Fox, which is the republican propaganda machine, did the poll

so the news organization that loves trump the most are reporting that trump is hated by the majority and liked only by a fraction of the people.

On the upside for Trump, his bar has now been set so low that he could beat expectations simply by showing up for work every day.

If no senior officials in his administration end up in jail or with a pardon to avoid jail he will have beaten my expectations.

Next time we'll put you up there, as the obvious best and brightest candidate. You got my vote.
