Poor Google Chrome Performance on Sonoma on Intel

I have noticed that on a 2019 MacBook Air a Intel Mac, Google Chrome seems to behave very differently than on macOS Big Sur. I have noticed there is more freezing and choppier scrolling on Sonoma than Big Sur. When launching Google Chrome on Sonoma, there is a lag spike on the second bounce but on Big Sur that does not happen. I tried reinstalling Chrome but it is still very sluggish on Sonoma. I wonder how the Intel MacBook Pros perform on Sonoma's Google Chrome and if it performs just like Big Sur?

Try Firefox — it much better on not powerful devices, especially in terms of scrolling
