Hello forum, I've been working on a new Mac app and it's time to reveal it and maybe get some feedback from the people who know this stuff the best.

Pop adds iOS-like text selection popovers for the Mac.

It's not ready yet, but I'm hoping to get it out soon.

I'm wondering: does it interest you?

While a cool concept, it seems like more work than using right click for me personally

    I have to agree^^^
The concept is cool, but it is just as easy to "right click" Do you think you could modify the app to include the multi-snippet clipboard? I think it'll make it more robust. Also, you may want to add more options such as Google image search, etc..

    Thanks for your thoughts!

Yeah, the right click does it too. But you know, it looks cool :) Actually it feels nice to use too, and I've started to miss it when I'm not running it.

I really like the idea of integrating a clipboard history into it.

Adding more options such search in google, lookup in dictionary (if selecting a single word), lookup in Map (if selecting an address/postcode) etc. is a great idea too.

I'll get the 'base' app out first and then perhaps see about extending it. Some kind of plugin mechanism might work well.

hmm, if you can get that interface to pop up when you right click as opposed to the default, that may be interesting
