http://www.aolnews.com/2011/01/14/pope-john-paul-ii-on-the-fast-track-to-sainthood/ So John Paul II might be given saint hood.... We still do this? One of the criterias (criterions?) for this is to prove that the former Pope performed miracles. The miracle?: "An investigation by doctors and theologians appointed by the Vatican determined that a 49-year-old French nun had been cured of her debilitating Parkinson's disease two months after John Paul's death after praying to him for intercession...."We have seen a supernatural event occur in the life of a real person who has prayed for intercession. It is proof positive that the person prayed to is in heaven, which is also proof that an exemplary person has been rewarded by going to heaven,"" said some guy in the article. Jesus H., people... really? Someone claims they had a disease (never proven) and then claims that disease is gone because of prayer and that's proof poisitve of supernatural event? I have no words for this...how do people expect to be taken seriously when they still believe in such fairy tales?
