I just got my university email account a month ago. I have never really used it, however, I am getting this big collection of spam, and don't have any idea where it is coming from. I am not used to this with gmail, so it's really my first experience with spam emails and scams. I just got this today, and I cannot even stop laughing it's so funny. Enjoy.

    Very tempting..... :D

I did not take a screenshot of a scam I got, but I can explain it in writing.....

I got a paypal scam....It was quite easy to tell it was fake....

    a) the copyright date was 2005.... the real paypal would be 2007

    b) it was paypal.com.escam.com or something.... not just paypal.com and thats it

    c) It didn't address me by my name, it just said Dear Customer, your account needs to be re-activated....

I can see why so many people fall for these though.... I bet most people wouldn't even notice these things!

I tried going off on a Scam adventure with this Nigerian chap once. He dropped it when I continually asked about ¨how is your dog doing¨, I tried to make myself out to be a vet you see. Ah, I miss getting their hopes up. Haven't had one of these emails for a while

I made the mistake of posting my email address on craigslist, so I get a lot of crap, every single day.

Just a few of the daily emails that come through.

I'm more interested in how he set up a website and clever domain name in a mater of "minutes".

Some people just don't put a lot of thought in their scams. I got the same one notjustjay got about TD bank... I thought it was pretty sad that they couldn't tell the difference between paypay and TD. They tell you the threatening log-in attempts were into TD, but tell you to check your paypal (completely unrelated companies)... but the link is for TD (well at least it has TD in the domain), then they sign-off as "Paypal"! If you're going to try to scam the masses at least get what company you're trying to spoof straight first!

It was even more laughable because I don't have a TD or Paypal account! :D

I haven't received a response yet from the guy, so i sent another. i explained that since he did not respond to me, i now demand 3 million! it was very angry.

i got one a long time ago saying i needed to log into my paypal account because of a problem. i didnt even have an account. i went there, and the site looked just like paypal, except when you clicked on certain things, it didnt work. pretty good though.

Wow I get these all the time, I kinda want to do a scam the scammer thing though.

Though if there is money being made from the pieces of crap that come into my junk box, I can't imagine what a half way decent email could make me. Now that is tempting.
