I'm curious to see how our older Macs pony up against each other! Post your Geekbench results here! Download Link

Geekbench Score*: 336. Specs: iBook G4/1.07GHz/512MB RAM/40GB HD/Combo

For Comparison: My original Core Duo MacBook scores a 2600.

For reference: a white eeePC (900MHz/1GB RAM) Scores a 468.

*Note: You don't need to create a profile if you don't want, just post your specs and score! :)

If anyone has a Wallstreet you've stuck Tiger on I'd like to see that one in particular!

When I get home, I'll post you a B&W G3 and a 1.5 GHz upgraded G4 Digital Audio.

And, if I get ambitious, an iMac G3/600.

(And if I get *REALLY* ambitious, over the weekend I'll force 10.4 onto either a beige G3 or an iMac rev a/233 MHz.)

I'm such a luddite - if a Mac runs Geekbench, it's not old enough for my collection!

Haha nice. Too bad they don't make a 7.6.1 or 9.1 version of Geekbench! :D

Alright, first up:
Power Mac G4 Digital Audio, upgraded with 1.46 GHz G4; 1.5 GB RAM.

Score: 851.

The iMac G3-233 will be a bit tougher, it only has a CD-ROM drive, and is presently running Mac OS 8.6. Getting Tiger on there will be a challenge. (Especially since it isn't officially supported!) I'll edit this post in half an hour or so with B&W G3 (w/ G4 upgrade) numbers.

edit: Alright, next up, Blue & White G3, upgraded with 500 MHz G4; 256 MB RAM.

Score: 308. (Note: Primate Labs says you need at least 512 MB of RAM, this system is at half that. Merely adding more RAM may significantly increase that score.)

Edit:

iBook G3 Clamshell SE 466 MHz, 576MB RAM

Just got a friend's Quicksilver up and running! Specs are Dual 1.0GHz/1.5GB RAM/80GB HDx2 : Score is 860.

Update: Just installed 10.5.8 on a friend's 12" PowerBook G4 that was running 10.2! Specs are 867MHz/640MB RAM/40GB HD/Combo: Score is 494

The beige PowerMacs and older iMacs are interesting... wonder what it would take to score a 100?

Another part of my old Mac collection scores:

iMac G5 ALS 2.0, 2GB RAM - score 1096

G4 MDD FW800 1.42@1.67 Dual CPU, 2GB RAM - score 1777

Interesting things happened with this above. I get 2 other higher scores:
1973 and 2253. Something is wrong Text Decompress test - compare scores in this section between those three results.
Weird, maybe CHUD Tools and Nap which I'm using are messing up something?

Odd. I have the 17" 1.67 HiRes model with 1.5GB RAM, and it scored 815. Guess that extra 512MB RAM makes a difference.

My late 2009 Mini with the 2.26 and 4GB of RAM scored 3325. What a difference a few years makes. I had Firefox and iTunes running that time. I should retry with nothing else running and see what happens.

I want to see some truly ghetto scores on here. Anyone have a beige 233MHz G3 they can squeeze 10.4 onto via XPostFacto? :)
