"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove.
This is the president’s highest job approval rating since mid-June of last year. President Obama earned 45% approval on this date in the second year of his presidency."

"Donald Trump tweet on 50% approval cherry-picks polling data"

"The new Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in the 2016 Election, just out with a Trump 50% Approval Rating. That's higher than O's #'s!"

    Meanwhile:

"There’s a big, slow-news-weekend story over at Politico today over allegations made by certain Democrats and liberals that the prolific polling firm Rasmussen Reports is biased toward conservative and Republican causes."

    and

"Rasmussen Reports has received praise for accuracy in the past. They have also been criticized by for having a right leaning bias. Some of those who have called Rasmussen Reports right leaning are: FiveThirtyEight, New Republic, Time, Center for Public Integrity, CNN, and the Washington Post. Further, founder Scott Rasmussen has written a conservative book called In Search of Self-Governance."

Weird. Fox News has him at 43%... You'd think that would be the highest...

Love this quote from the WP:

Gotta love cherry-picking the fake news from Rasmussen.

Quinnipiac sure has a different take... even if you discount them some in the other direction lol.

American voters give Trump a negative 37 - 58 percent approval rating, compared to a 40 - 55 percent rating February 7, in the wake of his State of the Union address. Republicans and white men are the only groups who approve. White voters with no college degree are divided at 47 percent approve and 45 percent disapprove.

I always like to look and the rank/scale. I've said this before. Many times those in favor for Trump break down smaller on very strongly and most on agree vs those that oppose Trump the skew is majority very strongly and smaller on the agree

I think the uptick is mostly for Tax cuts. I really only take polls with a grain of salt because of the election.

Surprisingly CNN mentions Monmouth poll at 52%. But eh.

Trying to prove they're not biased. Picking a right-biased poll to do it. Gotta love it.

Don't know much about Monmouth University. But getting polls from many different sources will be more accurate.

Politico themselves put him at 45%. I’m not surprised to see a slight uptick frankly due to the tax reform.

The ones I have trouble understanding are respondents who go with "haven't heard enough" when asked if they approve, disapprove, or haven't heard enough to decide. With some array of Congressional primary race candidates, I can dig it. With Donald Trump in office for a year, what's up with a typical 2% "haven't heard enough"?!

Ahem. You clearly don’t understand what that means. They were right. Trump had about a thirty percent chance of winning the election. The fact that he did doesn’t mean that they were wrong. It simply means that he pulled off a long shot.

You all know what happened last time you had a war monger president who put in massive tax cuts to boost the economy...

If you don't remember... the GFC.

Are we still giving validity to polls?

And as I just noted just above, they weren’t wrong. Trump having about a 30 percent chance of winning was probably a very good and reasonable estimate. He pulled the electoral equivalent of drawing an inside straight. Concluding, prior to the election, that he had a greater than 50 percent chance of winning would have been foolish.

That's if Hilary won and Bill gets back in the White House.
